We are currently working with one of the most exciting and innovative tech businesses based out of Sheffield, who have a reputation in the North of England for tech innovation backed up by various awards. They are currently looking to hire a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their expanding engineering team.

They are operating fully remotely at the moment and from September looking to implement a hybrid model of 2 days office and 3 days working from home.

As a senior you will be given the opportunity to own and lead projects, from concept and inception all the way through to production. And be responsible for the quality of deployment pipelines, ensuring the resilience, capacity, performance, repeatability, security, scalability of the platforms. You will also be expected to drive a pro-active approach to platform monitoring and improvements that meets the needs of the consumers.

They systems you will be working on have a huge focus on scalability and availability. They handle billions of pounds worth of transactions each year. The most important thing for someone coming into this role is that tech is at the heart of everything they do. They invest heavily in the technology you will use but crucially in yourself as an individual and will put in place clear progression plans and listen to any ideas you have.

You will get to work with the latest cloud, microservices and automation technologies including AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes and Chef, as well as being responsible for creating a state-of-the-art infrastructure, based on a microservices architecture, for a system which will be used by millions of people.

They are offering an excellent benefits package, including a guaranteed yearly bonus and a salary up to £70,000 for this role.
