Senior DevOps Engineer

Berlin - Full-time in office (for the first 3 - 6 months, then moving to a Hybrid work model)

This Berlin based start-up, whose Tech team consists of 8 and scaling 15 people, are offering a one-time opportunity to Senior/ Lead DevOps Engineer join them on this digital journey which will have heavy Platform Focus! ????

If you are looking to be part of a greenfield project and work closely with decision makers, then look no further! You will be involved in setting up infrastructure and a cloud environment from the ground up, with a high level of isolation, in AWS.

A big part of this role revolves around infrastructure management and platform development and you will be a key player in getting this organized correctly with the guidance of the VP of Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

???? Take charge of infrastructure management, leveraging tools like Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to streamline operations.

???? Work with AWS services such as Lambda, RDS, and PostgreSQL to optimize platform performance.

???? While not currently on Kubernetes, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to future containerization efforts.

???? Gain valuable experience in networking, VPN, and VPC configurations to ensure secure and efficient communication within the platform.

Desired Skills and Experience:

???? Previous experience working in a startup environment, where you have built environments from scratch, using an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for innovation.

???? Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and methodologies, with a focus on platform development.

???? Proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for infrastructure management.

???? Familiarity with AWS services, including Lambda, RDS, and PostgreSQL.

???? Any prior security experience would be highly beneficial in this role.
