Are you and Engineering Manager ready to take the step up to VP of Engineering, taking this start-up into scale-up over the next 12-24 months.

You will implement technology strategies to deliver the vision of the business, with a core focus engineering excellence and processes and team development/growth. You will have a strong business acumen and have operated in a high growth international environment.
You will take the current one engineering team and grow this to three teams in 2024, building a best-in-class function that will drive the success of the business.
This is not a purely strategic role. You will contribute to the strategy with the Founders, but your core focus will be in the software engineering team and building best in class infrastructure. You are a software engineer at heart and still retain some hands on interest. You still love to write code but your focus is now on people and team development. You are not an expert at everything, but you know how to get the best out of your team, not work as individuals. You will be the authority for all technical decision making.
It's likely you are a Software Engineering Manager who is looking to take a step up into a VP role. For this role an experienced strategic VP/CTO will not be the right profile.
- Broad experience in software engineering - 10+ years career experience, 3+ years managing
- Strong background in hands on software engineering (Any Python/Golang beneficial)
- Ideally experienced growing from 1 to 2/3 teams
- Proven experience of marketplace models/products
- B2B products desirable
- Advocate of leading engineering approaches including CI/CD, DevOps, microservices etc
Compensation €120-150k, stock options available.
